Monitoring of Wind Effects on a Super-Tall Building under a Typhoon

Field measurements are critical to further understand the structural behavior of super-tall buildings under strong wind actions. This paper presents field that reflect characteristics and effects on Leatop Plaza Typhoon Vicente. Wind characteristics, including turbulence intensity, gust factor, power spectral density speed in an urban area, were obtained basis a statistical analysis measured data. Subsequently, wind-induced accelerations used evaluate dynamic building it. On first several modes, modal properties, i.e., natural frequency damping ratio, identified via fast Bayesian Fourier transform method compared with those using stochastic subspace method. The discrepancy between results finite element model predictions is presented discussed. Finally, variation parameters respect time vibration amplitude was analyzed while considering associated posterior uncertainty.
